Frequently asked questions
Do Russian citizens need a visa for Thailand in 2026?
Not for tourism: a 30-day visa exemption applies (cut from 60 days in May 2026). A visa is required for longer stays, business purposes, or once the visa-exempt entry limit is used up.
How many times can I enter Thailand visa-free?
Up to 2 times a year, and no more than 90 days total within any 180-day period. A visa is required once you exceed this limit.
What is the TDAC and is it mandatory?
The Thailand Digital Arrival Card is a mandatory online form for everyone entering Thailand, including visa-exempt tourists. It's submitted online no earlier than 72 hours before arrival — we'll help you fill it in correctly the first time.
How do I extend my stay in Thailand?
A visa-exempt stay can be extended by 30 days at Thailand's Immigration Bureau for a 1,900 THB fee. We prepare the documents and book the appointment.
What's the difference between a multiple-entry and a regular tourist visa?
A regular Tourist Visa (TR) allows one entry and up to 60 days of stay. A Multiple-Entry Visa (METV) is valid for 6 months and allows unlimited entries, each for up to 60 days.
What documents are needed for a Thailand visa?
A passport valid for at least 6 months with a blank page, a photo, hotel and flight bookings, and proof of funds. A business visa additionally needs an invitation from a Thai company.
Can I work in Thailand on a tourist visa?
No. Working for a Thai employer requires a Non-Immigrant B visa and a work permit. If you work remotely for a foreign company, the DTV digital nomad visa is a better fit — ask us during a consultation.
